Call to Hold is inspired by the gestural movements of a theremin.

A feedback loop is created by a microphone hovering over a speaker. As the sound of the feedback grows exponentially, the user controls the volume and pitch of it through the gestures of both hands. 

The rise, fall and rotation of the hands controls the EQ of the feedback, shaping the sounds while balancing to keep it present.
